Father Jeremiah looked up from his paperwork to see Sarah standing in the doorway of his office. He cocked a brow at her, then returned to writing his next sermon. "I'm sorry, I can't help you," he said, without looking back up, "if you need to make a confession, Father Peter is in the confessional now."

She shifted uneasily. "No, Father, I cannot tell anybody but you."

He stopped again, looking back up at her. He suddenly realized he never really seen her before. Sure, he knows who she is; as principle of the school, it was his job to know who all the girls were, at least by name. Sarah O'Conner...senior, been here two years, that sort of thing.
