The Holiday Cottage

I really needed to get away from it all. I guess it was a bit of a cliché but I had been working really hard and having no leisure time. I built up a lot of holiday and My boss insisted that I take some and relax and forget about work for a while. I lived for work and so forgetting it would be tricky so I decided to make a clean break of things and book a cottage by the sea somewhere quite far away from home so there would be no reminders of work around at all.

I was actually quite looking forward to it, once I had booked it and decided to pack my jogging things so that I could run on the beach each morning and some swimming things as well as buy some books to read. I would drive down in my car and so I would be able to get about easily and visit tourist attractions in the area.When it came to the day, I set off early in the morning and tried to beat the traffic. It did not work as there were a lot of people with the same idea, but I did not let it bother me and tried to relax and focus on what I would do when I arrived.

I stopped at services for a sandwich and then continued on and managed to make up some time and arrive an hour before I should have done. I got to the cottage and let myself in to find that the cleaner was still in there. She was a nice young girl and we got chatting and I made her a cup of tea. Luckily there was some milk in the fridge and some tea bags in the caddy which was good.

Once she finished she sat down with me and we shared some chocolate biscuits that I had brought with me. She looked lovely in a short skirt, sandals and a strappy top with an overall over the top. He blonde hair was up in a pony tail and I could not help but find her attractive. Normally I would be too shy to approach a stranger in the way that I did but I found myself saying to her that I liked her and would she get to know me better. It was almost as if someone else was saying it. I guess I knew that I had nothing to lose, it was unlikely I would see this girl again and if she said no it would do no harm to anyone.
