The game show,

At a small reception table, clearly just set up for this meeting we all had an envelope with our name on it. it was a large envelope and fairly bulky. After picking mine up I had a scan over the document it was a legal document and it clearly covered a number of issues which may arise. We were told we could read the document but if it wasn't signed by 5pm that day we would lose our place and need to travel home. It was currently 2pm and with 54 pages of A4 to read I thought I would take my time and read the titles and maybe dive in deeper if need be. There was a mix of tactics used. Some just signed the document others went through it line by line. And my tactic was not giving me any great insight into what was involved. I took around 1 hour, didn't notice anything that would put me off and signed the document.

for the next hour we were allowed to wonder the grounds, the house and anything was allowed to give us a feel of our new living space. The place was amazing the lower floor had a sauna, steam room, Indoor and outdoor pool, some large rooms (one which almost looked like it was soft furnished with pillows and not much else, a massive dining hall and ample areas with a number of flat screen TVs in each. The upper floor seemed to be a number of rooms with ensuite bathrooms. It looked like there may be 12 or more room so in my head I expected a few more guests.

As 5pm approached we all made our way back to the reception area. to my surprise the 10 I had flown in with was now down to 8. I couldn't imagine what had made two people decide against this opportunity, but why would I care, the less in it the better chance for me.

As the grandfather clock near the door started to sound the elderly gentleman who had interviewed me stood in front of us. He introduced himself as David and advised the house we stood in was one of his and the show had been created as he had accumulated a great wealth from a number of different ventures and wanted to try something else. As a man with no children, he also wanted to see his fortune go to people he felt deserved the money rather than in the hands of the government or someone even less deserving.
