Stopping for a break after the first set they stood by the net and drank chilled water from the courtside locker. They were just about to strip for the shower when they saw a notice taped up stating ‘Apologies, due to an electrical fault the showers are currently out of order. A technician has been called.’ ‘Great’ said Carla sarcastically but then her face lit up. ‘It’s no problem, you can come back to my hotel and use my bathroom. I have a suite and the bathroom is gorgeous, and huge.’
‘Room for two?’ put in Alessia. This was the first time either had made such an obvious suggestion but Carla took it in her stride.
